Deleting from a database is easier than deleting from S3 backed store. They have a transaction log and an optimistic concurrecy implemetation to support ACID. The cost is obviosly heavier CPU and memory resoruces for these operations. This is not a limitation of data lake house or its commerical offerings; but the way its engineered and the use case it caters to.
